Report On: Leadership Talk on Entrepreneurship and Innovation by Ms. Lorena Julio & Mr. Satya Illa.

Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology, established in the year2002 is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Osmania University has been “Accredited by NBA and NAAC ‘A' Grade.”

The institute has started an Innovation and Entrepreneurship department for the students which aim to encourage leadership among students and empower them as future Entrepreneurs. Taking a step towards it an event was organized on campus titled “Leadership Talks on Entrepreneurship”, which was Addressed By Ms. Lorena Julio and Mr. Satya Illa.

Ms. Lorena Julio, Belonging to Argentina is a Human Right Advocate and Social Entrepreneur who has worked for more than 14 years for the promotion of human rights in Latin America and the United states and other countries across the globe. She shared her story of her initial background and the three startups and motivated the students on the impact of becoming a social Entrepreneur and take the society to the next level. She agreed to mentor a few social start-ups from the Lords group of Institute.

Next speaker was Mr. Satya Illa who is a global entrepreneur driven for social change and is currently working with NITI aayog. His innovation and development work is aligned with 9 United Nation Sustainable development Goals. He made students Enthusiastic about Entrepreneurship as he shared his story of how a 3rd year engineering student started developing ideas and after graduating got trained at Kanthari and Started his own chain For social cause. He also signed a MOU with the college, to support the students with ideas and innovation.

With this The E-Cell of LIET, has laid platform for many more activities mapped for coming months.
